Cookies and analytics

We'll tell you straight what happens on our website. You make your cookie choice on your first visit in the card that opens in the bottom corner of the page, and you can change it at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of the page or with the button above. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (localStorage), not in a cookie.

Always on: cookieless visitor analytics. We measure how the website is used with PostHog (EU servers), without cookies. Nothing is stored on your device, and you are not recognised from one visit to the next. We can see, for example, how many times a page has been viewed and what was answered to the question “What brings you here?” on the front page, but not who answered. Your answer (or the intent inferred from the page you landed on) is stored only in your browser's local storage so that we can arrange the front page and the menu to suit you. It is not sent anywhere else, except anonymously to our statistics.

Only with your consent: advertising technology. If you allow it, the website loads the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads and Google Analytics, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. With the same consent we load Leadfeeder, which works out from the IP address which company a visit comes from (not who you are), so we can reach out to interested companies. They set cookies in your browser and receive information about your visit so that we can target advertising and measure its results. These services process the data in accordance with their own privacy policies, and some of the data may be transferred outside the EU. You can allow the services one by one. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the cookies that these services have set on our website.

Our website does not use Google Tag Manager.

Tear down your own site (recruitment campaign)

On the recruitment campaign page Tuhoa WordPress (“Destroy WordPress”) you can, if you wish, enter the address of any public website and tear it down in the game. The feature is optional, and it only starts when you enter an address yourself.

What happens. The address you enter is sent to our server, which opens the page in a browser provided by the Browserless service (Browserless Inc.) and takes a screenshot of it. The screenshot is returned only to your browser. We do not store the address or the image, and the address is not included in your application. The only things saved to the application form are the note “Own site” and the number of hits and seconds it took to tear the site down.

Who sees the data. Browserless processes the address you enter and opens the page on its servers in the United States, so the address is transferred outside the EU. Browserless may retain log data about requests in accordance with its own privacy policy. The website being opened sees the visit as coming from Browserless's server, not from your device.

IP address. We use your IP address to prevent misuse: only a limited number of sites can be torn down from the same address within ten minutes. The counter exists only briefly in the server's memory and in the firewall of our service provider Vercel, and we do not store it anywhere else.

Analytics. Our cookieless visitor analytics (PostHog) receives information that the feature was used and whether the site was a WordPress site, but not the address you entered.

Do not enter an address that contains personal data or secret identifiers (such as login links): the address is passed to Browserless as is.
