Cityvarasto

From research data to Finland’s coffee table talk

We built Cityvarasto a model for continuous PR that turns the company’s own research data into interesting media stories and part of people’s everyday lives. One finding travelled from Ilta-Sanomat to Kotivinkki and all the way to a hair salon’s magazine table.

Belongings are the third most common cause of rows in relationships

One consumer survey that yields timely, relatable findings about Finnish homes, belongings and life changes all year round. Not one-off press releases, but a continuous PR engine that keeps Cityvarasto’s voice heard.

The basis is Cityvarasto’s 2026 consumer survey on belongings (Suuri tavaratutkimus), carried out by the independent research agency YouGov: 1,355 respondents across Finland, 27 February – 9 March 2026. The media got a source they can trust. See the survey on cityvarasto.fi (in Finnish) →

All the way to the salon’s magazine table

Kotivinkki ran the 28 % figure across a spread, and an acquaintance sent a photo from a hair salon. The same data bends into several media openings for different times, target groups and media. When the need for storage arises one day, Cityvarasto is already a familiar name.
